Bring back Bill Bragg as the voice of Texas state fair mascot Big Tex.

The Issue

For 11 years Bill Bragg has provided the voice of Big Tex the mascot of the state fair of Texas. On October 19, 2012 Big Tex burned down due to an electrical fire and not long after that P.R. director of that time and Bill Bragg's boss Sue Gooding fired Mr. Bragg by email. The fair has not given a proper reason or explanation as to why Bill was fired. A few online articles say that Bill was fired due to how seriously he took his job by dressing up in similar clothing and acting like Big Tex during non fair hours. But Bill only performed these actions for charity events most recently waving the starting flag for a race for the cure for the American cancer society. Bill always asked his bosses if it would be alright to appear at the events using the Big Tex persona and all of his bosses except for Sue Gooding where okay with it. The working conditions at the fair are poor and the pay minimal as reported by Big Tex's former voice Sonny Ray Stolz stating that they treated him unprofessionaly, the breaks where short, a small break / work room with no air conditioning, and had to bring his own equipment. The same treatment was given to Bill and he did not complain and if he was back would probably still not complain. Bill loves his job and the fair goers and in numerous accounts has pose for pictures with fair goers and Big Tex when it was Bill's break time. Bill has done a lot of good and has put smiles on peoples faces both fair goers and those who have not even been to the fair. This petition is asking the state fair of Texas to bring Bill back as the voice of Big Tex and only if Bill Bragg still wants to be the voice. This petition is open to everyone even those who don't know about Bill Bragg and Big Tex.
