Hello everyone,

We just wanted to clear up some misconceptions. We have heard that there have been some questions as to why the "Innocence Project" needs money when they get millions of dollars in donations every year. The "Innocence Project" and "The Innocence Project of Texas" are completely different entities. One is on a national level and one is specifically for Texas. The Innocence Project of Texas is the one that is working on Brandon's case. While they do rely solely on donations, certain aspects of investigation must be approved by the board of directors. The lead that the IPoT is following up on is not a sure thing. Therefore, the board is not going to approve the spending.

However, we have been told by those close to the case that this is a very exciting lead and could possibly have very significant strides toward Brandon's quest of proving his innocence.
