We believe the proposed greenfield development on School Lane is wrong for Broughton. The community voted in favour of a small amount of affordable homes to be constructed over a period of 5 years. This vote has been ignored by Broughton Parish Council; instead of a few affordable homes they plan to support a large mixed development outside the village boundary thus opening the floodgates to further development, greatly increased traffic, more pressure on village facilities and housing that is not needed. In short, over development on a grand scale that can only benefit a few.
