Enable Spotify on North American Tesla Cars!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!
Tesla owners would like to have Spotify enabled in our cars to allow direct streaming access from the largest and most comprehensive online music streaming service in the world.
Tesla has already enabled this feature in European Tesla models. In addition, Tesla has already completed this software enhancement, but has not enabled it for North American Tesla owners.
We request Tesla enable this feature for U.S./North American Tesla owners. If the reason it has not been enabled is related to cost, simply allow those of us with existing Spotify accounts to log in with our existing credentials. Non-Spotify customers can choose to open their own account if they desire. Tesla need not absorb the monthly costs.
Current U.S. Tesla owners only have access to Slacker, an inferior music service with limited functionality. Slacker does not allow users to stream particular songs on demand, instead it creates playlists based on an artist or song request. It is impossible to simply listen to a single album on-demand.
Spotify has more than 83 million paying users globally (and more than 180 million users total) with a music catalog of more than 30 million tracks. It is the most full-featured on-demand music service, with hundreds of thousands of curated playlists, millions of others, incredible social-sharing features, and true on-demand listening.
Please simply enable the Spotify app for U.S. owners. No need to offer us free accounts, Tesla...we just want to listen to Spotify in the car without having to tether our phones!
Thank you for listening and responding to your owners.
