Dear supporters,
First of all, I want to sincerely thank every single one of you for signing and supporting this petition. 🙏
What started as a small idea has now grown into a movement of hundreds of Tesla owners who believe in better usability and safety.
Recently, Tesla released FSD Version 14, and there’s an important update that might directly relate to the issue we’ve been addressing — the removal of the double-tap activation for Autopilot.
According to several reliable Tesla news sources, with FSD V14, Tesla appears to be merging the traditional Autopilot system (TACC + Autosteer) into the newer, more advanced FSD architecture.
This means both systems will soon run as one unified platform, giving all safety and driving features access to the same advanced camera and neural network data.
In simple terms:
Tesla might be in the process of retiring the old Autopilot stack altogether.
If so, this could eventually solve the double-tap problem at its core — because Autosteer and Cruise Control would no longer be two separate systems.
However, this change currently applies only in the U.S. and Canada, where FSD V14 is rolling out.
For Europe and Switzerland, we’ll have to wait and see when and how this update reaches us.
Until then, our petition remains important — not everyone can or wants to pay for FSD, and basic Autopilot users deserve intuitive, reliable controls.
Thank you again for being part of this.
Let’s keep pushing for clarity and fair usability for all Tesla drivers worldwide. ⚡️
