After the incredible successes of the petitions to Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, and the amazing amount of support you have all given to me, I will continue trying to end caged hen farming, but now, I have decided to look for change at an even higher level. ( https://www.change.org/p/andrea-leadsom-end-caged-hen-farming-in-the-uk ) Given that all the major British supermarkets have now pledged stop selling caged hens eggs by 2025, the next step is to try and end caged hen farming in the UK as a whole. This campaign will be bigger than both of the previous ones I have lead, and I am fully aware of the challenges that we may face. But I firmly believe that if enough people agree and support this petition in the same incredible way that you have done in the past, this change really is possible! Social Media has proved an essential part of the sharing over the last petitions, if you agree that animals are more than inanimate food producing machines, please sign share and support this petition, calling upon the government to treat hens in the way that is now long overdue.
