99 RON for NI!
This petition had 174 supporters
In Northern Ireland there are many performance car enthusiasts, modified car enthusiasts and people with environmental concerns, who have their interests hobbled by the mediocre super unleaded petrol available at the pumps here, 97 RON. At present Tesco offer their 99 RON 'Momentum 99' fuel in forecourts across the rest of the UK, but in NI to date it's unavailable. For those with performance cars that have been designed for higher octane fuel the 97 RON offered in NI returns reduced power, leads to carbon buildup in the engine, delivers worse emissions and delivers poorer fuel economy. This goes against the interests of those vehicle owners and anybody with environment concerns. For those with modified cars the lack of high quality fuel means they cannot get the best from the hard work & dedication put into their cars. This is an opportunity for Tesco to deliver a product that will please many people and to corner a niche in the market, which with the correct marketing (although word of mouth may well suffice once Momentum 99 is on offer!) could prove to be very lucrative to Tesco, between stopping off into the shop & increased forecourt sales. Win-win really. So if this sounds like the sort of thing you'd like to see introduced to NI, please sign & share! Thank you.
