Brisbane Flight Path Community Alliance

It has been a while since we've communicated via the Change.org platform.  Hopefully you have already signed up with the Brisbane Flight Path Community Alliance (BFPCA.org.au) and are following our progress and news.

BFPCA has successfully raised a parliamentary e-petition to be presented to the House of Representatives.  This petition will close on September 1st, 2021.

Please sign the parliamentary petition (Link: https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN2983 and share with your neighbours, friends and family.  We are asking the House to:

1. Amend the Air Services Act 1995 to free Airservices Australia from its regulatory capture by the aviation industry and ensure it protects the human and natural environment, community amenity and residential areas from the effects of the operation and use of aircraft.

2. Review to what extent the ministerial approval granted in 2007 relied on flawed and misleading data, with a view to revoke the approval of the current aviation airspace management plan for Brisbane Airport.

The success of this petition will benefit communities across Australia battling unreasonable and excessive aircraft noise.

You ongoing support and involvement is critical to a successful outcome for the community.
