I'm amazed at the support for my petition to make rehabilitation available to addicted inmates. Addiction impacts us all. There are wonderful stories of jails that are rehabilitating drug addicted inmates. They are just few and far between. Rehabilitation for this population of inmates would benefit us all. The entire US needs this, but I am asking Tennessee to do this because my son, Jimmy, is an inmate in Tennessee. Every single time that he has been in legal trouble, and there have been so many times, it has been a direct result of drug addiction. We as a society have to do more to help fix this problem that is an epidemic in our country, states, communities, and families.
