March 24 Virtual Open House
Why save Waverly Woods? This beautiful area, which is currently under threat of development, is a special place for many reasons. Members of Community Voices of Fort Erie Inc. would like to share some of them with you in a virtual public information session scheduled for Thursday March 24th, at 7 pm. The session will begin with a presentation highlighting the History, Nature and Community Assets that the area provides. The historical connections include Indigenous Peoples, War of 1812, Black history and the Erie Beach Amusement Park. Its natural environment includes an abundance of wildlife and one of the last remaining urban forests. It also has long been an asset to the community for those who enjoy walking, cycling, bird watching and other outdoor activities. Most importantly, it is a place that friends and family have shared together over the generations. Following the presentation, those in attendance will also have an opportunity to submit their questions. The virtual session, which can be viewed on Zoom, is open to the general public. Anyone interested in attending can email cvferie@gmail.com to reserve a space and receive a Zoom link.
April 2 TRIVIA Night Out
Come and join us for a TRIVIA Night out. Our trivia night will be held at the Fort Erie Legion, on Saturday, April 2nd, the doors will open at 6:00 with the first question at 7. You WILL require proof of double vaccination to attend this event. Tables of 7 are welcome, or individuals. Tickets are $15.00. Along with Trivia, there will be a Penny Sale and a 50/50 draw.
