Hello everyone We formed a committee and decided to call it Community Voices for Fort Erie (including Crystal Beach, Ridgeway, Stevensville, etc). I checked with the Town of Fort Erie and here are the next official steps: February 5 Town Council Public Input starting at 6 pm. Each speaker will have 10 minutes. Power point presentations can be given and the Town would appreciate speaker notes to assist with the preparation of minutes. You can bring the ppt presentation on a flash drive and load it immediately before speaking. You can address letters to Matt Kernahan or the clerk Carol Schofield or both. The information report which is going to Council on February 5 has already been prepared and is under review by Senior Management (was due Friday Jan 26th). Any correspondence received from this point forward will be included in the recommendation report tentatively scheduled to go to Council on March 5. The deadline to receive correspondence for that would be on or about February 20. Now is the time to connect with the Mayor and Town Councillors by phone call or set up a meeting. Please also encourage anyone who has concerns about the Waverly Woods/Erie Beach development proposal to attend the meeting on February 5th. Having a lot of people there will demonstrate how important this issue is to not only the residents of Fort Erie but many others from Buffalo, NY, Niagara and the GTA area.
