89 Signatures Away from 1,000! Rep Chris Stewart Townhall

Hi Friends and Resistance, I wanted to send a quick update - we are just 89 signatures away from 1,000! I am so thrilled at the response to this petition. I am personally in Washington, D.C. until the 21st, and will be delivering printed copies of this petition AND personal healthcare stories from constituents to the offices of the Utah Congressmen and woman on Monday 3/20. Beyond my personal visit I will continue petitioning the Utah Congressional Delegation. Please, if you are a Utahan and want to share a Healthcare story with your Representatives, send that to my personal email kmwolfe91@gmail.com I also wanted to inform you of a few upcoming events; notably, Rep Chris Stewart (2nd District.) will be in Salt Lake County holding a townhall meeting this Friday, March 24th at West High School from 6:30-9pm (West High School - Salt Lake City 241 N 300 W, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103) If the turn out is anything like Rep. Chaffetz townhall (which I was able to attend), please show up to the event at least an hour early, expect to NOT be allowed large signs (but bring them anyways while standing in line, this will bring the attention of news outlets and folks posting to social media your way.) Be respectful of constituents when they are given the chance to speak. Having Agree / Disagree signs are also handy. Rep. Stewart has stated he is "on the fence" about the ACHA. This is a great opportunity to let him know you do not want him to support the bill. Most of our Congressmen hold tele-townhalls with some frequency. Senator Mike Lee's website lists his next tele-townhall on May 10th at 6pm MTN Time. This is subject to change, see lee.senate.gov for up-to-date details. Salt Lake City is having a sister march to the Washington, D.C. March for Science with the meeting point being City Creek, on Saturday, April 22nd from 3pm-6pm.
