US Forest Service Managers Continue To Grow Fire, Heat And Pollution In The Lake Tahoe Basin

Out of control US Forest Service Burn Managers, partnering with Local and State Burn Agency Managers and aided an abetted by Local and State Air Pollution Control Districts feverishly and purposely continue to grow, fire, heat and smoke with total impunity and without any real monitoring or oversight.

Not only is the year round purposeful and out of control fire, heat and pollution growth occurring now on an almost daily basis in our pristine Lake Tahoe Basin but as well all across the Western US, chocking our citizens, our families, visitors, pets and wildlife while completely ignoring Clean Air Act standards.

And what about our hundreds of thousands of wildlife chocking on the smoke, frantically running scared for their life and eventually burned or maimed in pain during these purposeful burn events. This as burn agencies pour and ignite millions of gallons of raw burning petroleum fuel on top of them and their nesting areas. There is nothing natural and something very sinister about this torturous process. We have photos of injured wildlife that have occurred during these purposeful destructive fire growth and pollution events but they are too graphic to display here.

These dangerous and destructive pollution practices, now fed by an uncontrolled open spicket of Federal burn money, are not based on true science and harm us all, including our children, the very young, the elderly, those who are pregnant, respiratory patients, ranch animals, pets, our cherished wildlife, local and regional recreation, visitors and commerce and drive up insurance rates. They degrade the water quality and clarity of our streams, rivers and lakes.

Largely unknown to the public and press, the US Forest Service has been quietly "growing" fires, smoke and heat with tactics called "Box and Burn", "Minimal Impact Suppression Tactics", and since 1978, engaging in what is known as "Appropriate Suppression Response" (code for growing fires). Tell US Forest Service Managers to stop the smoke....put the fires out.

Our photo below is just one very recent example where hundreds of thousands of Lake Tahoe Basin visitors and residents were forced to breathe tons of pm2.5, pm10 and carcinogenic Carbon Black particles from a purposeful US Forest Service burn. This, without regard to the Clean Air Act.
