US Forest Service Administrators Have Started Their Fall and Winter Smoke and Heat Assault

US Forest Service Administrators have started what appears to be an all out year round 365 day toxic smoke and health assault on our clean air, affecting us all, including our children, the elderly, those with breathing limitations, our pets, wildlife, commerce and recreation.

They are actually beginning to ignite forest burns while toxic smoke from the other fires they have purposely grown all summer are still active.

A lot of people believe that this is what the USFS, Bureau of Land Management and US Parks have quietly and always meant when they created and use slogans like, "living with fire", be "fire adapted" and the "new norm". Seamlessly forcing us to live with 365 days of massive purposeful fire growth, toxic smoke and heat pollution, created by their own hands, while fully embracing their "must burn", "let burn" dogma.

The human lung is not smoke adapted.

These burn agency smoke and heat pollution activities are not based on true science and there is nothing natural or wild about these assaults on our clean air.

And, the US Forest Service has demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to do the right thing.

We just learned that the US Forest Service significantly polluted Lake Tahoe Basin air quality after egregiously lighting up burn piles near the pristine eastern shoreline of Lake Tahoe earlier this year, near our cherished Sand Harbor without the required State agency notifications. All the while posting signs telling the public "not to report" these illegal pile burns.

A notice of violation was issued against the US Forest Service by the Nevada Dept of Environmental Protection for this illegal act.
