SAEN - Stop Animal Exploitation NOW!
22 feb 2016
Despite SAEN's continued pressure and appeals to OU to provide their baboons sanctuary after SAEN pressured OU to announce closure of their program last September, SAEN just unearthed a recent NIH-sponsored publication containing the following:
Papio Anubis - Olive baboon
No. 7165: US born males and females, all ages, research naïve and non-naïve.
Please contact: University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
OU is literally trying to give away OUR BABOONS!!!
Stated PURPOSE of this "Primate Resource Referral Service" publication is to PROVIDE INFORMATION for the EFFICIENT SHARING of laboratory PRIMATES by RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS ... to LIST AVAILABLE or WANTED ANIMALS ...
NOW more than ever these baboons NEED all of US to fight for their future! Let's truly guarantee this is the "Year of the Monkey" by granting sanctuary to the OU baboons. Together, we can do it!
