We all know that the Trump administration has botched its Coronavirus-response plan here in the U.S. -- but Trump’s response to this pandemic is also putting the world at risk.
The Trump administration is slashing aid to Yemen, a country that Saudi Arabia’s dictatorship has bombed for five years with weapons supplied by the U.S. and other governments. Yemen is at serious risk of a major Coronavirus outbreak, and aid groups in the country are in dire need of any support they can get.
The Trump administration is cutting humanitarian assistance to Yemen after Houthi rebels imposed new restrictions on international aid in the regions they control.
But cutting off U.S. humanitarian aid hurts the very Yemeni civilians who have already suffered immensely under both the Saudi-led coalition and Houthi attacks. Indeed, the U.S. -- under both Trump and Obama -- has sold billions of dollars in weapons to the Saudi dictatorship doing much of the bombing.
Please take a moment right now and demand that the United States restore humanitarian aid to all of Yemen.
