TODAY: Comment on OK Foods’ most recent Facebook post asking the poultry giant for a public response on whether it uses cruel, outdated “nose bones”! (See our sample comment below.)

Because today’s “broiler” birds are bred for unnatural, crippling rapid growth, dull plastic “nose bones” are stabbed through the sensitive nostrils of male “breeder” birds to restrict their food intake. But since Compassion Over Killing’s investigation of Tyson Foods exposed this gruesome practice, you’ve helped us confirm that 17 of the top 20 chicken producers in the nation are either eliminating or do not use these archaic devices.

However, OK Foods, the 16th largest producer in the US, has been mum about whether it uses the cruel devices, despite hearing from dozens of you via our nationwide call-in day.

It’s time for OK Foods to join its competitors by issuing a statement on “nose bones.” Please take action TODAY by posting on OK Foods’ latest Facebook post asking whether it uses these barbaric devices. Click here and use our sample below or your own polite comment!

SAMPLE POST: Does OK Foods use cruel ‘nose bones’ in its broiler breeder birds? As a consumer, I urge you to join the 17 of the top 20 chicken producers in the country, including Tyson, Perdue, and Pilgrim’s, that have made public statements that they are phasing out or do not use these barbaric devices. Thank you.
