Compassion Over Killing (COK) has launched a new multi-state, multi-language billboard campaign empowering factory farm and slaughterhouse whistleblowers to report animal cruelty, workers’ rights abuses, food safety risks, and environmental violations. Join us in blowing the whistle on cruelty: You can create change for chickens just by using your keyboard! Share our petition to Tyson Foods with your friends and family today!
Debuting in top poultry-producing states Arkansas, Georgia, and soon North Carolina, the billboards have already reached nearly a half million people with COK’s 1-800-65-FARM-TIPS and FarmTips.org hotline. As farm workers are often hesitant to report problems, for fear of losing their jobs, COK is offering a safe and anonymous resource for these concerned whistleblowers.
And COK has continued to work at the forefront of the movement to protect chickens since its gut-wrenching investigation of Tyson Foods, which led to major producers including Tyson, Perdue, Wayne Farms, and House of Raeford ending the barbaric practice of using “nose bones,” as well as unprecedented cruelty charges and convictions. This year, we also debuted www.ChickenIndustry.com, exposing the grim lives and deaths of these birds.
You don’t have to be a whistleblower to help make a difference in the lives of the billions of birds raised and killed by Tyson Foods. Share our petition on social media today--and don’t forget to tag @TysonFoods!
