"Tell this to my nation" : A People's Petition for Constitutional Accountability

TO THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN
AND TO ALL CONSTITUTIONAL, DEMOCRATIC AND HUMAN-RIGHTS
AUTHORITIES WITH THE POWER AND DUTY TO ACT

According to his sister, Dr. Uzma Khan, during their meeting on 20 August 2026, Imran Khan delivered a series of deeply serious messages concerning his treatment, health, isolation and fears for his safety:

• “I have been treated very unjustly for the past 10 months. I am facing severe injustice and torture.”  ~ The Express Tribune

Prolonged or unjustified solitary confinement is not a trivial matter: Amnesty has warned that it can amount to torture or other ill-treatment, and UN standards state that solitary confinement should only be used exceptionally, as a last resort, and for no more than 15 consecutive days.

“Tell the people of Pakistan about my condition.”

Imran Khan spoke to his nation.

Now his nation must listen.

This petition carries his message beyond the prison walls.

This is not merely a question of one prisoner.

It is a question of whether constitutional rights still mean what they say.

It is addressed not merely to those who hold office, but to every institution that claims authority in the name of the Constitution of Pakistan.

If one institution will not listen, then the demand must be placed before all institutions.

If domestic authorities refuse to answer, the world must be asked to listen.

And if the State says there is nothing to hide, then let it prove it through independent doctors, independent investigation, transparent records and due process.

This is not a demand for privilege.

It is a demand that the State obey its own Constitution and law.

We demand:

• Independent medical access — immediately.
• An end to prolonged solitary confinement and all cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.
• Immediate and unobstructed family access in accordance with law and court orders.
• Full compliance with every binding judicial order.
• Accountability for anyone found responsible for unlawful treatment or obstruction.
• Protection of Imran Khan’s life, health, dignity and fundamental rights.

No delays. No obstruction. No compromise on due process. No silence in the face of injustice.
