Please support our new petition on change.org to persuade the Government not to switch off Freeview television signals, in favour of  internet-only television. This decision would force all households to pay for an expensive broadband contract in order for their TV to continue working. Their rooftop aerials would be useless. Other countries are upgrading terrestrial TV to operate in parallel with internet television.

The BBC is leading a campaign to scrap Freeview as soon as possible, despite the serious implications for older and disabled people, and those on low and modest incomes.
