First of all, I want to say thank you so much to everyone who has signed, shared and promoted the petition so far. Almost 110,000 of us have now come together to call on the Government to ban this dangerous chemical, which we know has already found its way into our environment, our food and our bodies.
Astonishingly, just days after the court case in the US that found that glysphosate caused DeWayne's cancer (and that Monsanto had hidden their knowledge that glyphosate was likely to cause cancer from the public), Therese Coffey, a minister for the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) posted a tweet in support of 'amazing Roundup'.
Now that Parliament is back in session we need to make it clear to our MPs and Minsters that a UK ban needs to be urgently put on the agenda.
If you have a Twitter account please tweet our Environment Minister, Michael Gove and let him know we need him to act.
'Cancer-causing #Glyphosate is in our soil, our water, our food, our bodies. @michaelgove, #BanGlyphosate now! RT if you agree! change.org/BanGlyphosate'
Thank you so much!
Abbie
