Hello Team Toondah
URGENT CALL TO ACTION:
We need as many of you as possible to march with the Toondah Alliance from
9-11am on Sunday 14 May, starting from the park next to the train station at Cleveland.
With the EIS due to be handed to the Federal Environment Minister in the next few months, we MUST keep Toondah in the spotlight.
The Walk for Toondah will continue to show the developer and politicians we have the numbers and expect this development to be made extinct not the endangered species that call Toondah home.
While Redland City Council and the Palaszczuk Government refuse to
Respect Ramsar and respond to most of our letters and actions, people power cannot be ignored.
Last year around 2500 of us wrapped around the Cleveland CBD, one of the biggest Redlands protests ever - let's make it even bigger this year!
In other Toondah news, Toondah shone on the ABC 7.30 Report with the focus clearly on Ramsar and the critically-endangered wildlife it supports.
Finally, a reminder about the World Premiere of Randal Wood's Flyways – The Untold Story of Migratory Shorebirds' at the Majestic Cinema, Wynnum 5pm this Saturday 6 May. You can also see Flyways at the Brisbane premiere at the New Farm Cinemas at 4.30pm this Sunday 7 May. Randall will be at both for a Q&A session. Nationwide sessions details here.
Have a Moreton Bay of a day :))
Yours in Toondah
Dylan
