Meet Violet. You need to hear her story.
I adopted Violet from a taxpayer-funded dog lab. She was known as dog #CEGMBN, the government ID that's tattooed in her ear.
When I first met Violet in the lab, I whispered in her ear, 'I promise I'll get you out.' But her transition from government experiment to family pet hasn't been easy.
Violet had never been outside. She never felt grass.
She couldn't even learn "normal" house training because she was locked in a cage for too long. So she needed to wear a diaper.
Believe it or not, Violet is one of the lucky ones.
The Dept. of Veterans Affairs restrains puppies like Violet, injects latex into their arteries, drills holes in their skulls, and destroys their brains.
The VA kills healthy and adoptable puppies like Violet and dumps them in garbage bags — like trash.
The USDA is just as bad. It's going to slaughter and incinerate 100 more kittens. Some will even be denied anesthesia and pain relief.
"Thousands of kittens killed in USDA research could have been treated and adopted instead, experts say." – New York Daily News
Make no mistake: puppies and kittens are incinerated like trash because government bureaucrats just can't be bothered to adopt out the survivors.
Well, Violet isn't trash. And I feel betrayed by my government. That's why I'm writing you today.
DEADLINE: to cover Violet's Fund, we must meet our campaign budget by midnight, December 31. It's the year's most important deadline.
I was outraged to learn that the VA also spent $38,000 of my tax money to buy "submissive" female puppies like Violet — then slaughtered them within days of their first birthday.
Violet's Fund will end this — but only if we meet our end-of-year budget. Will you rush just $5 — the price of a Starbucks latte — before the deadline?
As I write this, we've also got a new, GAME-CHANGING opportunity:
"Members of Congress Push for VA to Let Veterans Adopt Dogs From Experiments." — Daily Caller
That's why Violet's Fund is so urgent: for the first time in American history, we could retire all puppies, kittens, and primate survivors across the entire federal government!
But we're up against the year's most important deadline and we must cover Violet's Fund to make it happen.
Thanks,
Julie Germany, Violet, and WCW Team
