Thanks to pressure from her constituents, Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez has reportedly donated $2000 she received from for-profit private prison corporation CoreCivic to a charity. Please keep the pressure on other candidates and elected officials to REFUSE this money in the future, and DONATE the money they have already received to non-profits that are struggling to support women and children refugees and immigrants.
