We will not forget. We do not forget that millions of babies like these are born to be killed every year. Just so that humans can drink their mothers’ milk and make it into ice cream and cheese and yogurt. For these unnecessary things, these babies were born and will die. Unnecessary suffering caused by Raystede.

Earlier this year I happened to be walking in this field before there were any animals in it, and I heard one of their mothers crying out. A pitiful, heart-breaking bellow reached me from the unseen farm, maybe half a mile away. Her cry was repeated, over and over, and I knew they must have just taken her baby.

I walked all the way home, another mile or more in the opposite direction, and I could still hear her as I turned the key in my front door.

With every step I took, I racked my brain for a way to help her. How could I rescue her? How could I reunite her with her baby? But there was nothing I could do. Nothing except this: I can plead with everyone who drinks theses babies’ stolen milk, to stop. Stop drinking their milk so that they and their mothers will no longer have to endure this backward, sick, barbaric practice.

No animal deserves captivity. No animal deserves slavery. No animal deserves to be treated like a machine; to be robbed of their children; to be slaughtered like these darling angels will be.

Please, Raystede, if you really care about the well-being of all animals, stop causing such suffering. Inspire change. Inspire love. Inspire an end to all cruelty.

And everyone else, please sign this petition if you haven't already, and share it with every good-hearted person you know.

Then write to Raystede and share our plea with them. Bear in mind though, the staff at Raystede are doing a fantastic job looking after the animals in their care. Some of them are vegan, but they don’t get a say in this. Not even the CEO has any power. Our fight is not with them.
