It's Raystede's policy to ignore any complaints about the sale of animal products in their cafe. Any other messages they'll answer within hours but bring up the issue of meat and dairy and your message gets binned.
I wonder if they'll listen to the words of their founder, Miss M Raymonde-Hawkins MBE. Thank goodness she published them. When you read her books you can tell she was afraid of what would happen to Raystede when she wasn't there to oversee things. That's why she wrote them.
So I am going to share a bunch of quotes from this inspiring non meat-eater in an attempt to make her voice heard.
Please share them on whatever social media you use. Thank you.
First:
“Thus man exploits animals for his food, for his clothing, for sport, for labour, and very rarely co-operates with them in making the world a better place for all life to experience, from the lowliest creature crawling to the most magnificent of dignified jungle life.”
From Sensible Pets and Silly People [1990], page 180, by Miss Raymonde-Hawkins, founder of Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare. (@Raystede on Twitter)
