Tired of having their letters and emails ignored by Raystede, two supporters of this campaign made themselves impossible to ignore. On May Day bank holiday - a very busy day for Raystede - these two friends of the animals stood opposite the entrance to Raystede for two hours with a large banner which read "Raystede please stop killing animals for your cafe". They had positive encouragement from people driving out, with big smiles, waves and thumbs up. Some people even came over to sign the petition. When one passer-by commented - "now I've seen everything: an animal rights protest at an animal sanctuary!", they smilingly replied, "This is not a protest, it's an appeal." Well, whatever it was, it couldn't be ignored. And they'll definitely be going back - I mean, they spent money on that banner, they won't want to waste it! Thank you so much everyone for your continued support with this campaign. Do whatever you can - keep writing to Raystede and phoning them but also come up with more imaginative (peaceful and polite) approaches that Raystede won't be able to ignore.
