Waiting...and the toll it's taking
It's been months and I wish the saying "no news is good news" was true, but it is so far from it. The bad news is staff is leaving. A team of fantastic nurses, CNA's, surgical techs, and unit clerks that keep these departments running have been forced out. The lack of communication, transparency, and added stress of the unknown direction of the unit has caused emotional turmoil. The staff has needed to make decisions without all the information. Most staff want to stay, want to keep working at Henderson Hospital but the lack of answers has created fear and a need to seek jobs elsewhere for financial security. Rumors fly around creating more confusion. This is highly unprofessional and unethical behavior from all involved. We just want answers and communication.
