Speak at the May 19 Clark County Commission meeting

 • Plan to attend the Clark County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM and use public comment to describe how losing Henderson Hospital’s Women’s Services and NICU would affect Henderson and nearby rural families.

• Bring a 1-minute statement focused on emergency travel delays, high-risk pregnancies, newborn transfers, and the loss of care capacity for the southeast Las Vegas Valley. FEEL FREE TO SPEAK FROM THE PETITION IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY.  

 • Ask commissioners to publicly press Henderson Hospital leadership and Nevada health regulators for transparency before any Women’s Services or NICU closure moves forward.

This board has no jurisdiction to vote or DIRECTLY influence the decision of closure. However, they can put pressure and INDIRECTLY influence the decision. They can push for resolution . The board can draft and pass a formal resolution officially opposing the closure. This puts public pressure on hospital leadership, aligns the county government with community petitions, and forces hospital administration to address the community impact publicly.
