I am the council liaison to the Corvallis Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO). CAMPO is the policy arm that partners with Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and County Commission staff for the purpose of advancing regional transportation projects. This is my 8th year on Council which has given me a fair understanding of our public works department. And so, I thought I might be able to help in some way.

As with many municipal issues, the City listens to its residents yet must carefully consider competing needs. Nevertheless, active transportation is a vital goal that ODOT, and our entire community, have in common.

I've attached a file with information that relays the present state of the City's efforts. I trust folks will be able to see that the City is actively working on several improvements to bike/ped infrastructure despite limited funds. I hope it will help the petitioners understand the City's approach.
