Hello Everyone, Thanks for participating in our urgent action last week to call your members of Congress and urge them to reauthorize the Zadroga Act. Even though the Zadroga Act funding has not yet been permanently extended, thankfully we don’t anticipate any problems with money running out just yet. For now, 9/11 first responders and survivors can still see their doctors and receive treatment for a few months, but we can’t be certain what will happen after that. We can't wait until this program is shutdown to take action for our heros so please continue to contact your members of Congress to make sure 9/11 first responders and survivors never have to lobby for healthcare ever again. We have to make this a permanent extension. http://www.renew911health.org/take-action/take-action-contact-your-members-of-congress/. I’m heading back to DC for more meetings next week so look for another update then. We’re in this to win it. Also please read and share this op-ed by Senator Gillibrand on why the Zadroga Act expiration is unacceptable: http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/insult-added-tragedy-letting-zadroga-act-expire-article-1.2380763. -John
