One of the hardest realities for caregivers of non-traditional companion animals is how difficult it already is to access appropriate medical care. Limited veterinary options, pharmacy refusals, and outdated assumptions create constant barriers, even when an animal is clearly a companion and permanently removed from the food system.

Chewy’s policy adds yet another obstacle to an already uphill battle.
