The Center for Medicare Advocacy, in partnership with the ALS Association, has created the ALS Medicare Access Project (also known as ALS-MAP). The focus of this project is to educate the ALS community on the home health care benefits currently available through Medicare, as well as provide information and tips on how to access them. The first webinar (MAP webinar 1: An overview of Medicare for people living with ALS with an emphasis on Medicare’s home health benefit) has concluded, and the webinar recording and slides are now available on the CMA ALS-MAP website. The second webinar (MAP webinar 2: Case studies illustrating required components for Medicare’s home health care benefit) will be presented live beginning in two weeks. A total of three sessions will be offered, each containing the same content. This webinar will expand on the information provided in the first webinar and will also provide specific examples of pertinent cases. If you have not participated or viewed the first webinar, you may want to do so prior to participating in the next installment.
