A group of advocates in the ALS community got together and created this guide for ALS patients to use to secure desperately needed, existing home health services from Medicare. We frankly grew tired of the unnecessary delays by ALSA National in providing the information. Months of waiting is an eternity when you're fighting ALS every day. It took us only 3 days to complete. While Medicare still needs to increase home care coverage and resolve systemic issues, THERE ARE BENEFITS AVAILABLE NOW to ALS patients to help offset the strain families are under.
