The recent recommendation from the RPS Executive Cabinet—Dr. Steve Matthews, Dr. Korie Wilson-Crawford, Mike Ramm, Allison Clements, and Lisa Jacobs—was developed without stakeholder involvement.
Tammy Bergstrom, Rockford Mayor and City Council asked Dr. Matthews to Collaborate at the one meeting held with Parkside families, he never held any follow-up meetings or provided additional input on the concerns raised by Parkside families.
Why was this decision made in a silo? 🤔 RAMS XII states that RPS will “engage in regular conversation with parents, students, staff, and local leaders to strengthen understanding and action around community values.” I wonder why.
