One of the main opponents of the Imperial College (IC) site being used to construct the new Turing House School on is Space to Play (S2P). This group is a consortium of local sports clubs, schools and residents who only self-serving goal (and I quote) "is simple – to turn the entirety of the Imperial College Playing Fields into a much needed sports facility that is run by and for the community of Teddington”. Do not believe some of the Twitter feeds that lambast me for stating that the folks in Teddington don't want the IC site built on, stating that they (S2P) are just against commercial or residential development of the site. This is clearly not the case, hence the quote, S2P only interest is to save their precious playing fields, keep it to theirselves and dump the school elsewhere.
