The Tarrant County College (TCC) Administration chose to raise our rental rate from $75 to $250 per hour. Our monthly rent went from $4,500 per month to $14,000 per month. This is an increase from $45,000 annually in the past to now approximately $140,000 annually. There is no pool in DFW (or the country) charging these rates. The Olympic Training Center does not charge these rates.
This is not sustainable for any organization and will result in children not learning to swim, youth not having an after school exercise program, and competitive swimmers losing a place to train. This will also result in lost after school jobs for high school students as well as many of our adult staff/coaches.
