Petition updateHalt Judge Harding Clarke's proposal to shred Symphysiotomy records after March 20th 201676 year old woman's appeal continues today

The appeal continues today. Report from the Irish Examiner this morning quotes counsel for hospital: "If the three Dublin teaching hospitals were practising this procedure on a limited basis in 1963, that was evidence of a reputable body of opinion practising it..." Why is this evidence it was reputable? The problem with this position is, in defending the medical establishment at all costs, it utterly elides the fact that this practice was considered outdated in 1963 in medical scholarship, it was done without women's consent and it caused serious bodily harm and injury to Irish women. How can the Irish State allow the medical establishment remain unaccountable for this? You can follow this case on twitter @SoS_Ireland
