Orcas have become the modern victims of exploitation—taken from their families, confined against their will, and forced to perform for profit. Like slavery, captivity strips them of autonomy, dignity, and the right to live freely in their natural world. These highly intelligent, social beings are reduced to commodities, their suffering hidden behind glass walls and entertainment shows. When freedom is denied for someone else’s gain, it is not education or conservation—it is exploitation. Orcas do not belong to tanks, and no living being should exist solely for our amusement.
