Many animals are being killed overseas purely for the purpose of a trophy. Americans pay a lot of money for a trophy hunter to send them part of the carcass, like the tusk of an elephant or the hide of a tiger to use as a rug. These people do not want to use the animal for any purpose other than to see it everyday. They put on display a dead animal. These people think it is to prove something, but it is really just demeaning to the animal who was going about their life. Even gentle animals, such as Zebras are being killed, even though they have done nothing to deserve this except live.
