Repeal Reservation for State Board Students for Medical Seats in Tamil Nadu

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!

It has been recently announced that 85% of the medical seats have been reserved for State Board students where as only 15% is reserved for CBSE, ICSE and other board students. I, myself being a CBSE student, feel offended.

Last year, i.e., for 2016-2017 batch, a common rank list was announced on the basis of marks obtained in respective board examinations. In that case, there was no such reservations made for CBSE or ICSE or any such boards. And relatively, Tamil Nadu State Board examinations are easier than CBSE or ISCE board exams. Our examinations are based on concept learning and applications, where as Tamil Nadu board students, solely rely on rote learning for their examinations.

But this year reservations has been made for state board, on basis of an exam which on same difficulty level all over India. Why is this being done?

Thereby, I, on behalf of all the CBSE students in Tamil Nadu who aspire to be doctors, plead you to throw light on this issue and help us to spread our concern all over India.

Cause, this is the future of next generation doctors we are talking about.
