This has been a great week for the campaign #CallingOutStalking with hundreds of signatures added to our petition in the last few days. A Buzzfeed article by our petitioner is showing every sign of going viral: please help us sustain the momentum by sharing this article widely on social media over the weekend to build awareness about the skewed representation of women and romance in Tamil cinema. We have also managed to get our first breakthrough in the Tamil press: the weekly magazine Kungumam that came out yesterday had an exclusive interview with our petitioner Iswarya on the dangers of glorifying stalking in Tamil films and the campaign #CallingOutStalking. We're touched by your enthusiastic support and have a lot of events scheduled for the coming weeks including tweet chats on stalking and hashtag campaigns against stalking tropes in the upcoming movie releases.
