Thank you everyone for your support so far. We're glad to report that we have been able to turn the spotlight on stalking in Tamil cinema. We managed to start a Twitter campaign yesterday #CallingOutStalking and soon journalists pitched in to take the issue to movie celebrities. In a conversation with the editor of The News Minute, actor Siddharth openly condemned romanticised stalking in films and his views were quickly retweeted by over a thousand people. Building on the conversation we had started, we approached several other stars and directors asking for support. Actor and filmmaker Lakshmy Ramakrishnan endorsed our petition and tweeted about it. We are hopeful that we can keep the conversation going and get the hashtag #CallingOutStalking trending. Please do share this petition widely and help us spread the word.
