OUR Democracy Is threatened right here in the United States of America. The Concerned Stewards of Halifax County, North Carolina invite all to Take the FREEDOM Challenge. We are a BREDL Chapter. We believe in protecting, conserving, and preserving our earth. Our constitutional rights and property rights are threatened severely by the statues of eminent domain. Eminent domain is improperly used as a result of greed. Today, we take the FREEDOM Challenge to stop the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. It threatens our health, devalue our property, which amounts to an unconstitutional taking of property: restricts property owner rights to improve , develop and subdivide our own property: affects water aquifiers and above all totally disregards humanity. Human beings have become the center of mockery. HUMAN BEINGS are totally overlooked in the Environmental Impact Study. This is a matter of environmental justice. An environment or ecosystem includes not only the animals , plants, wildlife , and micro-organism but HUMANS also. In Halifax County, a very impoverished county, the land is all we have. It sustains us. The land has been our survival. We can't eat pipelines nor drink its gas .Senior citizens are vulnerable and are preyed upon. The majority of the landowners are elderly who are affected. It is our time to enjoy life - not oppressed and manipulated for a private gain in the name of public use. Check the census. In Enfield, NC, the majority are black. The same also in Weldon, Scotland Neck and Halifax. Our Native Americans in Hollister also suffer with similar statistics. We own century farms. We have become victims of predatory exploitation. The ACP is not needed. We will not profit from it. We are on fixed incomes. Our schools are assisted federally to provide free meals. The majority raising grandchildren are the senior citizens. Personally, as a minister in service to use our own farm as a spiritual outdoor retreat, my religious rights are threatened. I have voiced this concern to our commissioners, to FFRC. The Doyle Land Services have now blocked me in by farmers who signed the easment agreement. That was an injustice because I asked for an alternate route around our properties but no cooperation. I was voicing my request when the others did not even know about the pipeline at the time. Give us our freedom back, today. We serve as Advocates for Humanity .and are Voices for the Elderly. Revelation 11; 18 shares the fate of those who do destroy the earth. Our earth suffers degradation noted by adverse weather conditions. From day to day God is warning us. Stop the Atlantic Coast Pipeline with community veto. We want democracy now! All are encouraged to Take the FREEDOM Challenge. Help sustain our earth! Help preserve our farms and family legacies.
