A very frustrating email I have received, please feel free to contact the email address below addressing how important this issue is.

ELECTORAL DIVISION: SPLOTT
FENCING – MOORLAND PARK
Thank you for your e-mail on behalf of your constituent in relation to the death of their dog.
This is an extremely sad occurrence, our sympathies are with the owner for the loss of their pet.
This is an extremely rare and freak accident and in all my years of sports pitch management, I have never had such an incident reported. We have pitch barriers, goal posts, fence posts, car park bollards, gate posts, lamp posts, outdoor gym frames across the whole of the city and as such have not had an incident of this nature involving a dog on any parks infrastructure. Unfortunately there no practical measures the Council can take to prevent such an incident reoccurring.
This is so unusual, as dogs will naturally avoid such obstructions when running and we would treat this as a very rare, but sad incident that doesn’t require further action by removing Parks infrastructure items.
Please pass on our condolences to the owner of the dog.
I trust the above information is of assistance, however, should you require any further information, please contact me on email parks@cardiff.gov.uk
Yours sincerely
Steve Morris
