It’s happening! This resident now has chickens right in the middle of the city.  I hear the klucking every morning at 6:45. 

Last month Commissioner Rick Belhumeur formally asked the City Attorney to draft an ordinance that would permit residents to keep chickens in their backyards. The draft would include practical safeguards such as enclosed coops and specific containment rules, recognizing the city’s limited lot sizes.
