Hello [Name],

I hope this message finds you well!

I wanted to personally update you on the journey we’ve been on since you supported the petition to include Afro-textured hair education in the Certificate III Hairdressing curriculum. While the national curriculum hasn't yet changed, I’ve redirected my energy towards something equally impactful – and I’m beyond excited to share it with you!

I’ve become the Creative Director of Organic Suku for Australia and New Zealand, a brand that’s equally dedicated to equipping Australian hairdressers with the right, techniques, and products for textured hair.

Together, we’ve launched Texture Reimagined, an education program that’s designed to give hairdressers the knowledge they need to elevate their careers with a focus on textured hair. We’ve partnered with some incredible stylists who are just as passionate about textured hair education as I am:

Michelle Garande – Global Education Director
William Webb – Educator and current New Hairdresser of the Year
Alannah Read  – Educator and owner of Ella & Jade Salons

This year, we’ll be offering a variety of educational opportunities, and I’m thrilled to announce that we will be debuting at Hair Festival on June 29th and 30th! This is huge for Australia—this type of textured hair education has never been seen here before, and I’m so excited to be a part of it.

Even though the national curriculum has yet to reflect the change we’ve fought for, we are bringing textured hair education to Australia. It’s time to reimagine texture, and we’re doing it together.

Thank you again for supporting this cause!
