SMAG Options Appraisal - your chance to share your views

Hi,

At last, there is a chance to be part of the options' appraisal for the location for a new Swindon Museum and Art Gallery! Your views need to be submitted by 27th August, so please do make this a priority.

We still firmly believe the Carriage Works would work as a wonderful, sustainable and ideally-placed location, for all of the reasons given in the petition you signed. Please do make your points clear to the SMAG team. Other locations have been suggested, such as the Mechanics Institute and the House of Fraser building.

The Mechanics' Institute has plans being worked on at present with Forward Swindon, and an invitation to bid for an HLF bid. The House of Fraser building could work well but has far fewer opportunities to be self-sustaining; as it has fewer opportunities for income-generating space.
