650 supporters but some SBC Machiavellia!

Dear All, Thanks so much for being part of this 650-strong petition. I am currently approaching people who will help with firming up this vision. Unfortunately, it seems that some members of SBC are trying to claim that I am in cahoots with the MI Trust, after my recent reference to them in the letter. This is absolutely not true, and the only details I had about the MI Trust plans were those in the Swindon Advertiser article I shared with you in my last message. Members of SBC are trying to dismiss this petition as a result. As you know, the Carriage Works was ALWAYS suggested as the main gallery and Museum, with the MI being a complementary facility. Certainly, it would be useful and sensible to bear in mind and work with ANY complementary body -- including incorporating some of SBC-funded FORWARD SWINDON's plans -- when looking at how the Carriage Works would work better as the gallery/museum. Anyway, I remain committed to pushing this petition and focussing on the work ahead rather than letting people with more devious agendas sidetrack this petition. It is really high time SBC listened to public opinion rather than pushing their own, political agendas.
