Wow, I have just woken up, half way across the world from NZ, in Ireland to the amazing news (on Swim Rotorua's face book page) that Kane is going to Rio! and his appeal was successful! Congratulations to Kane and his team on his successful appeal. We are so happy that you will be representing NZ at Rio! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This petition has been an overwhelming success! Everybody that signed, and put your name to this petition, well done and thank you for taking the time to understand, sign, share and promote this petition. The reason I started this petition two weeks ago, was to create a public forum, create a public conversation, to affect a change and get a national governing body to listen to the public voice of swimming in NZ. By supporting this petition you have made a difference and thanks for being prepared to make a change! I am going to close off this petition now but not without also expressing our disappointment for Charlotte whom will not be at Rio. Charlotte thank you for your humility, and dignity through out this campaign. Charlotte you are a fantastic athlete, ambassador and continue to be an amazing inspiration for many people especially in the NZ and wider swimming communities.
